Should I be Driving ?

The understanding of Drivers education is the upmost important thing to have full knowledge of, rather than someone being the driver, the passenger, or a pedestrian walking along the crosswalks of these roads. It’s such an important topic to be aware of because your life is always on the line every time you set foot into a vehicle, especially if you aren’t educated on things related to driving safely. Everyone with a license or a permit had read the book to pass their test, so why aren’t we all educated on the safety of the road? If the entire world were educated on driving safety, the death rates described to motor vehicles would decrease more than half of what it is currently, which is why it’s so important not just to get your permit or get that license solely to be able to drive around with friends but to also learn just how you can save your own life along with others as well. Learning and being aware of how you can save a life should be taken extremely seriously, which is why I would suggest that many people take driver’s ed. Speaking as a former driver’s ed student, I had learned so much when it came to driving due to the fact that my driving mentor made sure we learned so nothing terrible would happen, which personally helped me, in the long run, to be aware that someone cares about my life to the point where they want me to understand everything when it comes down to driving safely. Driving mentors break down deaths and accident rates to show just how important it is to take in all of the driving safety information provided to us from their programs, so everyone giving that a chance would help with the death rates. Now, with accidents, I take them very seriously now not only because of the death rates being extremely high but because my mother had almost been counted towards one of those death rates. My mother had gotten into a car accident twice because of uneducated drivers and I couldn’t imagine how hurt she would feel if I had to be involved in such a sad and frightening experience with uneducated drivers on the road or me being those said uneducated drivers. Getting as much knowledge that I can from drivers ed is mainly for her and hopefully, anyone with a parent that was involved in a car accident as well takes that as a sign to get right with understanding road safety. So, what exactly can I or anyone else do to become safe drivers and avoid being hazards to other drivers? When you’re driving, always be alert to your surroundings like big trucks, slow-moving cars, motorists, bicyclists, etc. Keep the distractions away, put your phone away, keep the music down, and do less talking. This ties in with being alert to surroundings but driving the correct speed limit, making sure you’re watching for those signs to know how fast or slow you should be driving, and focusing on yourself, focus on where to go when it comes to destination, and do not try to inspect in car accidents unless this said accident is blocking your pathway to get where you need to be. It can be very entertaining to drivers around you but you have to continue to focus on your own pathway in order to avoid another accident that could occur from not paying attention to what’s ahead. There are many other ways to get closer to becoming a better driver, and applying these will not only get anyone to that point, but it could save their own life or anyone else’s as well. Therefore, drivers ed should be a major key factor in learning about the safety of the road, anyone rather that person is yourself, an immediate family member or a friend that had gotten into an accident due to the unintelligent with road safety should be taken as motivation to do better and learn harder with road safety and all of its aspects and taking a few steps with focusing, creating a space with little to none distractions, being aware of your surroundings and knowing how fast and slow to go are all helpful ways to make anyone young or old become one of the safest drivers to be on the road. Driving safety is important, and it’s time that we start putting in the work to keep everyone out of harm’s way when it comes to road safety.
