The Impact of driving safely
Hi, my name is Eric today I
will be writing a essay on the importance of safety while driving and
how to improve it. I will be talking about four subjects. One is what
the importance of drivers ed in reducing deaths is. The second
one is what procedures can be taken to reduce death of people
driving. Three is Experience in what I have had with these subjects.
Then four is what can we do as a community and people to help stop so
many deaths from happening with driving.
The reason that education is
so important for the safety of people driving is that without it
people would probably not drive as safe. The problem with these
programs nowadays is that people do the tests and then totally forget
what they learn. Then they drive how they feel is safe. That’s the
problem is that we don’t have mandatory courses you have to take
for getting a drivers license. You can just walk into a DMV and take
the short drivers test and get your license. We as a community to
make driving safer should have mandatory courses that you have to
take at a paced time everyday till completion. In turn this will make
people have to actually learn and process this information so that it
can be used while driving.
Some steps that can be taken
to lower the expected death rates of drivers can be a number of
solutions. I have three proposals that might be able to lower the
death rate. One is automated drivers, having to renew driver’s
course yearly, mandatory cameras on either the bumpers or on the
front windshield and back window. Automated driving is something of
the future that is actually coming true right now. The one problem
with automated driving is sometimes there are programming glitches
but they barely happen they maybe happen 62 times a year but humans
driving cars about 32,000 of those people die a year. Those are two
really different numbers. So in turn automated cars still need to be
perfected but they could be a thing of the future that fixes our
automotive deaths per year. Another thing that is possible to correct
how people drive could be a mandatory renewal of a drivers course
yearly. This could make people to get in the process of learning and
embedding those instructions on how to drive safer into their minds.
A catch to this is the courses aren’t the same ever year they
should be updated every year to the specified changes that happen in
society while driving. Now my third proposal is my best one because
it could make people more cautious because humans care about how they
look and the two looks are good or bad. The proposal is that
mandatory law requires people to have camera that record on their
cars every time they drive. The government could provide them for the
areas that there needed in or to everyone in the U.S. Now the cameras
can either go on the bumpers or the front or back window it’s the
person’s choice. So just in case someone has an accident then its
recorded and someone’s to blame or the person that is driving
reckless will be more likely to drive better because there being
recorded.
Yes, I have experienced a car
accident and been in one. It’s usually because people aren’t
paying attention or they think they can make the rules of the road. I
got in an accident once because I wasn’t paying attention but now
after that experience I pay attention way more now when I’m
driving. I do blame cellphones partly on wrecks but sometimes because
humans daze out or zone out. Another cause to this stuff that I have
experienced is that people think they can just go in front of you
even when it’s not their turn.
The main steps in my opinion
is first people need to pay attention more when driving. Second
people should take yearly courses on driving. Third never pick up
your phone while driving because most likely you will get in an
accident. In conclusion never pick up your phone while driving cause
then you’ll be distracted, never zone out or look away from where
you’re driving to, and try to practice your driving skills with a
course or an instructor that can correct you on your driving.
