Let’s Be Safe Drivers!

Driving is a skill that has to be learned, practiced, and refined. Becoming a driver and operator of a vehicle you are accepting that things can happen and not for the best. Being able to drive gives you the freedom to go places you’d like, but before you can get there you should take drivers ed to assure you know how to get there safely. The benefit of receiving driver education is that it enables you to gain experience driving while being aware of the rules and regulations beforehand. Drivers ed helps you get used to driving and learn how to drive gradually. It also alerts you to driving issues and situations that you might not otherwise be aware of, and it teaches you the skills you need to drive safely and responsibly, such as how to follow traffic laws and other rules of the road and how to drive safely. According to Mooney Geek, it’s critical that new drivers complete drivers ed. Young drivers who don’t take a driver’s education course are 24% more likely to be in a fatal or seriously injured accident. Teens who took a driver’s education course had a 40% lower likelihood of receiving a traffic citation and a 4.3% lower chance of being in an accident, according to AAA. Nowadays, the emphasis of driver education courses and defensive driving classes is on instructing pupils in defensive driving. As a result, driving is safer and encourages safety on the roads. People are explicitly taught how to spot hostile drivers on the road, how to avoid collisions, and when to stop driving. Additionally, instruction is offered in driving in adverse weather, such as snow and ice. Steps that can be taken to reduce multiple deaths related to driving are to wear a seat belt at all times. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that since 1975, seat belts have prevented close to 300,000 fatalities in the US. The lives that have been saved are those of those who have been in severe car accidents; incidents that, if they had not been wearing seat belts, would have had fatal results. It’s not the safests to use a device while you’re actively driving your vehicle, but it’s needed for emergencies and navigation. If you want to be able to use your device while driving, the safest thing is to use a mount for your smartphone. It eliminates the need to glance down and reduces the amount of time your eyes are off the road because the mount keeps the phone in the driver’s typical line of sight via the windshield, also it’s better to do what you need to on your smartphone device before you get moving on the road. Do not drive under the influence. One of the most frequent causes of fatal traffic collisions is drunk driving. When you start driving while under the influence, you endanger not just other drivers and passengers but also yourself. Not to add that it is prohibited and that there are serious repercussions for doing so. If you plan on doing anything that will affect your judgment, bring someone along who will not be partaking in that, Uber, or lyft to ensure that you make it to wherever your destination is safely. Investing in a vehicle with advanced technology installed in the vehicle. You should always make safety your number one priority, it can happen to anyone. I have never been in a car accident, but I have had family who have. Family members of mine that go into accidents have ended up with problems physically from the impact of the accident, because they’re not driving responsibly putting their device or other things before safety. The steps I can take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safer on the road are following the rules and regulations I have learned from taking drivers ed and continuing to put it in practice. I can keep safe and be an example to those who are watching me. I can encourage people to be safe drivers, express the significance of doing driver ed, not skipping each module but take the course seriously because its information needed to help you be a driver and an improved driver on the road. Just as your life is important, others are too thats something to keep in mind.
