Drivers Ed

I
have taken a drivers ed class before, and I always recommend it to
others. In the drivers ed class they teach the rules of the road,
all of it. The most effective thing that I learned in the class was
the signs. In the class the teacher had different tests, teaching us
the many signs that are really important to driving. I think that a
lot of accidents happen because new drivers and sometimes experienced
drivers don’t know what certain signs mean, and that can be really
confusing. A confusing mind can cause so many accidents.

I
think that DMVs should be more strict on who they give permission to
drive on the road because be a driver is a big deal. I had a friend
tell me once that she was going to take her driver’s license test
an hour before the DMV closes because they would just past her.
Because she went closer to their closing time they would be in a rush
to go home and just pass her. She got her license that day. Imagine
how many other people have that same mindset and do the same thing,
but aren’t actually ready to be on the road.

I
have been in a car accident and I remember it like it happened a few
days ago. I got in an accident on May 13, 2018. I remember the date
so well because it was Mother’s Day night, 10 at night. I was
picking up my little sister from her friend’s house. I was making a
left turn, and the other driver was also making a left turn. Not only
did the driver feel as though stop signs don’t apply to him but he
also was drunk. Everyone involved in the accident was fine, but ever
since I question a lot about what we can do to keep people like that
off the road.

To
be a better and safe driver I don’t drive without my seatbelt on.
When I’m in the car with friends and others I am the one that makes
sure everyone has theirs on. I also am the safe driver. I don’t
drink so I always am the driver after my friends and I hang out so
that no one drivers while drunk.
