The
Struggle On The Street

Cars
over the past decades have been changing, with new technology being
added to protect the drivers and the people around them, but you can
not just rely on the vehicle to protect you and others. Each driver
should be educated, that simple education can save millions of lives
by allowing the driver to make correct and safe decisions when it
comes to different situations.

There
are plenty of steps to be taken when it comes to reducing the amount
of deaths relating to driving. Simple common rules are taught before
a person gets their license, for example, do not drive when under the
influence of drugs or other substances. Then there are things we can
still change, one being to change the timing on the lights so it does
not take so long and will reduce people running it and the chance
they hit another. Another step to be taken is to really start giving
consequences to people who are going over the speed limit in
neighborhoods, it can endanger many by speeding down a narrow
neighborhood street.

Luckily,
I have never been in a bad accident, but I have seen my brother drive
irresponsibly. Many times he has been high behind the wheel or would
be speeding down streets. Recently, he had gotten into a car accident
by passing out behind the wheel, thankfully no one was hurt and he
just hit parked cars. Doing substance before driving or even driving
irresponsibly to impress your friends is never recommended.

In
order for me and others to improve on our driving and make sure we
make the road as safe as possible, we have to make sure we do not
have tunnel vision. Tunnel vision is when people only focus on where
they are going and not everything around them, it is what causes a
lot of accidents. To also ensure everyone is driving safely, we
should have all distractions put away, that can be food, drinks, and
animals, not only a phone. People have to realize that driving does
indeed bring place to place, but it can risk other people’s lives and
your own if not done properly and safely.
