The Responsibility of driving

Drivers Ed should be a thing every new driver takes. Why? Well drivers ed teaches things that you might need to know when you drive. I took drivers ed and honestly it helped me with the test. It gave me things that I needed to know that I never knew I needed to know. Driving is a big responsibility and it can be dangerous so drivers ed is a great learning experience to have ,especially if your nervous to drive. I have been with someone who has gotten in a wreck nothing serious and I myself had been in a wreck I had dozed off and ran a red light. I never knew what it was like to be in a wreck until I got in one by myself as I was a new driver . Driving can be dangerous in many types of ways but the biggest danger in driving especially with young adults is drinking and driving. I believe before you get your permit or license you should take a class on drinking and driving. I feel not a lot of people care about that because they say “I’ll be fine” or “I’m ok to drive” when really there not. Driving under the influence has been a big problem the last couple of years especially with college students. I never plan on doing that and putting someone’s life in danger. When you are drinking and driving your not only putting your life in danger but your putting other peoples life in danger.I believe to reduce the number of deaths with having drivers ed can be something good only because kids that become new drivers could learn how to handle themselves and when to drive and when not to. There can be many steps to reducing deaths from driving but like said the most important one is drinking and driving because that is the biggest factor in deaths of driving. Another problem of deaths and driving is distracted driving and that’s having your cellphone out. YOU SHOULD NEVER TEXT AND DRIVE! Many young adults do and that’s why there are so many deaths with driving as well! That should be another thing that needs to be taught with drivers ed more because it isn’t taught enough. Defiantly some steps I and others can take with driving safely is always having my eyes on the road and paying attention, bring a driver for someone who needs it that may have been drinking so they don’t drive or knowing that people are dying everyday in an accident !
