Driver’s Seat

Drivers Ed is important because while yes actually driving is important, you need to get the proper education on what all the signs, roads, and etc… mean through a drivers ed class. Some steps that I have learned from personal experience to reduce accidents is to always pay attention to the road, people, and signs around you. I would also say that while jamming out to your music isn’t the best idea because at least for me it distracts me and I lose focus on driving and am paying attention to my music not driving. I have been in two minor accidents. The first one wasn’t really an accident, but it resulted in damage to my car. I somehow ended up on a little sidewalk/walkway and popped my front tire and tore the front bumper off. No one else was around me so no one got hurt. I was only shaken up as it was my first accident! The second accident I had I rear-ended someone. I was driving along and jamming out to my music(not a good idea!) and I slowed down because the cars in front of me were stopped, but I didn’t slow down fast enough and bumped into the car in front of me. Both of the cars only had a few scratches and everyone was fine. I learned from that experience that I can still jam out to my music, but at a lower volume and to have faster reflexes. For me personally since I’ve been in two accidents, I’ve learned that I need to listen to my music at a lower volume, focus on not only other cars and drivers but myself and how I’m driving as well.
