The Intriguing Dynamics of Safe and Responsible Driving: Driver’s Education and Training

A proper driver’s education along with the right motivation is essential in reducing the number of road accidents. By receiving better training and proper driving education, an individual can reduce the risk of an accident. While driving, the driver is aware of the updated rules and road safety regulations, which makes them drive responsibly on the road (Lendrum 2). Moreover, proper education helps in saving the destruction of public property. However, the awareness of driver education is not created in the society which adds to growing mishappenings and accidents. A well-trained driver who has received proper education about road safety can minimize the ‘deaths’ by road accidents. Driver training includes the road safety procedure, tips on comfortable & safe driving, handling risky situations, and helping other individuals involved in road accidents. Road safety protocols involve safety procedures that create empowered drivers and thus, decreasing the number of deaths by road accidents. Hence, an individual must receive proper education in driving to save lives.

To minimize deaths by road accidents, an individual needs to follow a road safety guide while driving. To prevent deaths, I feel that passengers must be buckled up with seat belts in every passenger. According to the Motor safety vehicle division, “seat belts help in reducing the percentage of death and injury by 50%” (P.Vergano 3). Another important requirement is to drive without the consumption of alcohol and drugs. It is estimated that even one drink can cause injury or accident while driving. Presently, individuals rush to places for their work risking their lives on the road, which ultimately leads to a road accident. Thus, it is advisable to take the step of driving at an average speed. Using mobile phones for texting and calling can lead to road accidents which is a critical issue at present. Multitasking must be minimized for the sake of our life and other people driving out on the road. Hence, an educated driver always adheres to the steps and requirements for safe driving and drives with complete responsibility.

I remember when I experienced a deadly accident of a classmate of mine. One of my classmates was going down a curvy road at a high speed on his way home from school. He was going fast and ended up losing control. My classmate had wrapped his car around a tree and ended up losing his life. This tragic accident caused extreme sadness among the school population. This experience made me learn how important it is to get educated about safe driving. Having up-to-date knowledge about safe driving could have saved my classmate and the other people from having accidents like this happening. Thus, driver education is not only important for one’s life but even more useful to save the lives of other people.

To be a better driver and aware people to get an education about driving, several steps need to be taken. The first step towards safe driving is to get enrolled in a driving academy to learn the basics and practicals of driving (Davis 6). The academy ensures an individual towards safe and responsible driving. Secondly, it is required to think about safety and being aware of the surroundings while driving. Awareness regulates concentration in driving and helps in cut out the distractions from calls, text messages, music, etc. The third step is to drive safely with controlled speed which takes years of practice to master. Driving at a slow pace decreases the risk of attracting accidents on roads and separates risky driving to keep it safe. The next step is to ensure the wearing of seatbelts, helmets, or any other required gear while driving (Davis 2). The last step is to ensure applying driving rules and maintain the automobile in secure condition. Therefore, driver education is valuable to drive safely as well as to save lives on the road. Furthermore, every driver is not only liable for their own safety but for the pedestrians and the fellow drivers in their vicinity.
