Driving In The Real World

What does driving mean to you? Many may say that driving means independence and freedom. Others may say it means a way of making a living. For many of us teenagers out there, it means hanging with friends and getting food or getting coffee. But before one begins to drive and get their driver’s license we ALL take driver’s education. Driver’s education is very crucial in your driving journey. It teaches you all the rules of the road and what things you should not do and what you should do. It is almost like the starters handbook when it comes to driving. But by taking drivers you can limit the number of deaths that occur each year. By taking driver’s education you are informed on the basic rules of the rules which put you at less risk for others.

Some steps that could be taken to limit the number of deaths related to driving are always in the right state of mind. For example, we teenagers are always raging about the smallest things. We get mad and complain and if your headspace is at that then please do not operate a vehicle. You could potentially put yourself and others at risk of a collision and in general, you are not in the right state of mind. Another thing you could do to limit the number of deaths while driving is by making sure you are not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. These two factors are big causes of death when it comes to driving. Many adults drive under the influence which can potentially put you at risk of death. Additionally, the leading cause of death for teens especially is driving and using your phone. You should not be distracted when driving because you’re not paying high attention to the road and you’re driving a vehicle that is going at a high speed.

I have not been in a car crash and thank god that I haven’t because it is truly scary just thinking about it. It is scary to think about one getting hurt and almost killed by a vehicle. On the other hand, I have seen a family member drive recklessly and I have advised and warned my family members of the consequences. Although, one may think that they are a good driver that does not necessarily mean everyone on the road is a good driver. So that means that your life can be put at major risk and ultimately if the worst is yet to come you get in a collision and can result in death.

Although not everyone on the road deserves to have a driver’s license because I have seen some pretty interesting drivers that don’t mean you have to drive like them. Some precautionary steps you can take to be a better driver is to focus and think about your mental state and if you’re under the influence. If you’re sad or mad or feeling some type of way you should not be driving. If you’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol you should not be driving. That’s already a big risk if you’re driving and you said yes to any of the other questions. Additionally, before starting a vehicle make sure to put your phone on silent and make sure that your GPS is talking to you rather than you looking at your phone. This causes one to get distracted and be involved in a collision. Being distracted by a phone will put YOU and OTHERS at major risk. Moreover, ways to help others become better drivers on the road is to help educate others on the leading statistics of the major causes of deaths. I feel like this will open up many people’s eyes and help them see that others are also on the road so you have to be careful of your actions as well as the actions of other people. This is significant because this helps open up many people’s eyes and see all the risks and dangers there are to drive. Moreover, you should also make sure to educate your family and friends that driving recklessly is not cool or fun, it is stupidity. If they are driving recklessly, tell them that they are putting their lives at risk and other innocent people.

Overall, driving should be used as a privilege, not something everyone gets to do. If you want to operate a vehicle make sure to think of yourself and others before you do something not right. alcohol death Additionally
