Better safe than sorry
Better safe than sorry
My whole perspective of driving has changed dramatically to how I thought it was as a child. As a child, I just imagine driving was just an easy task anyone can complete. I would dream of the day that I would finally receive my driver license. With a child brain, I thought after I got my license I could just go around speeding all over the town. Getting my license was not the perfect way I planned it out as a child.
As of a few months ago, I was finally able to receive my license. Getting my license was a big accomplishment in my life, but it also meant I had a new responsibility when I drive. My new responsibility was to drive as safely for myself as the other around me. I was able to be able to this new perspective after I have completed my online driver ed class as well as reading the hand book. In my opinion, reading from the hand book was the best way to learn as a driver.
In the handbook, I was able to learn all the different speed limits, different hand signals, signs on the road, and etc. Without knowing any of those keep factors, I would just be like a chicken with its head cut off on the road. I would have no knowledge of when I can turn or when I will have enough space to merge into a new lane. Not only would this put me in harm, I would put the other driving around me in harm as well.
As a teenager, I know that most of us really don’t care for these things. We all just want to have fun without having a single thought of the other surrounding us. I believe newly licensed drivers are usually the one who get into more accidents due to the lack of knowledge they have of driving. Most of us teenagers just want to go out and have fun without worrying about the consequences that could happen.
Driving is a very simple task that anyone can do, but they can harm many others at the same time when they are learning. The idea of just getting practice before a driver test is the best way for people to learn how to drive. The instructors are always able to help their student perfect the way of driving in order to not harm themselves as well as the others around the driver.
Being the passive driver is also a great way to keep the road safe. When you are aggressive, you tend to forget everything that is happening around you. Being the passive one allows a person to have a calm and collective mind when driving. WIth this calm and collective mind, the driver is able to create the best possible reaction to any accidents. These people are also able to not put others in a position where they have to make a quick decision that could end up saving their lives.
Speeding might be the main cause of all accidents as well as tickets. Driving greatly over the speed limit will put the driver and the others around them in harm’s way. Speeding just adds another problem to the other drivers when they are driving. When someone speeds they are also allowing a greater chance of getting a ticket if they encounter a policeman.
Drunk driving has to be the worst type of driving out there. If you are under the influence, you should have a sober person drive or just choose not to come out. When under the influence, many people do not have the clearless mind out there. People tend to make rash and unreasonable actions once they are drunk. Having a sober person to drive is the safest way for everyone including the intoxicated person. Drunk driving can lead to many accidents on the road that will end in life or death situations.
All in all just knowing the basic rules of driving can put many lives safe and happy. When knowing the time to take a turn or when it is the correct time to change lanes will allow many less accidents to happen. As well as having less drunk drivers is a great way to keep the road safe. Try to have a person who has had a sip of alcohol to drive if everyone else is intoxicated. Those sober drivers will make the better decisions between a drunk and sober driver. We all just have to keep out for one another if we want the road to be safe again.
