The
Power of Education

As
we grow up, we anticipate the day we get our license, the day we get
freedom to drive wherever our heart desires. Not only do the tiny
keys that fit in the palm of your hand take you to the nearest target
or gas station, they can also ruin someone’s life. One wrong turn,
one glance down, one look back could end someone’s life.

Being
Educated behind the wheel is important to your life and all the lives
around you. Knowing how to be safe and how to drive safely are some
of the most important things to learn in life. According to the
National Safety Council, 1 in 4 car accidents are due to texting and
driving. That’s one too many car accidents. The solution is simple:
don’t text and drive, as the saying goes “it can wait.”

Everyone
will have a story or an accident that will change their perception on
driving for the rest of their life. For me personally, I was driving
home from school and I saw an accident on the left side of the road.
I was trying to decipher what had happened when I saw a child’s car
seat on the sidewalk. Tears formed in my eyes and my heart broke, I
never knew what happened to the child. The point is that anyone could
be in the car you hit, a husband driving his pregnant wife in labor
to the hospital, a great grandparent on their way to their
grandchild’s dance recital or simply just a man on his way to work.
No life is worth the risk, get educated, be safe.
