You
must be comfortable, but so must others
Driver’s
education is important to make a student more comfortable in driving,
where they may refuse to offer short periods of time between being
accepted to train and actually practicing driving. If anything, it
is a process that simply puts students through understanding basic
techniques and allowing them to feel safer on the road. And a
feeling of safety comes with safety, and as many students go out they
will take to not wanting to be hit by cars or to hit pedestrians.
This new duty given to them comes with a feeling of alertness and
nervousness, that I have also experienced. While I feel prepared, I
also feel like I need to maintain diligence which is one of the
preparations every driver must have.
If
you want to reduce driving deaths; there must be diligence,
responsibility, and respect for posted signs. All to long I have
rode along my parents where they went 10 miles over the speed limit
while being mad at the person ahead of them for following the limit.
They feel as though they have to be somewhere when they should have
maintained that you should not speed when you are late or are
planning to be late. No matter the reasoning, it was your
responsibility to give yourself an ample amount of time to arrive at
your destination with a planned route.
Your
respect on the road can save your life as well as your fellow
motorists. Willingness to respect the drivers ahead and behind you
for their responsibility and diligence to give yourself enough room
to drive as well. And my idea of how to become safer on the road is
to assume that everyone around you is a student. Either going too
fast or too slow, while you can respect the lights and signs posted.
Diligent to keep enough space between you and others, as well as to
be informed. And as well as responsibility that if you happen to be
late that it is your fault for not planning a prior route, and you
should not put the lives of others in danger. And because no one is
comfortable on the road, we must all be willing to respect one
another by providing diligence and responsibility to the space and
safety of others.
