Eye Up for Everyone’s Sake

Eyes Up for Everyone’s Sake

After years of being that attentive second eye for the driver, my experience with driver’s education helped solidify my knowledge of what was expected on the roads. From learning the correct terms of signs to who goes first at a four way stop. Please take those classes so that everyone on the road has a general idea on how to drive along with proper highway and parking etiquette.

Crashes happen daily, it may not affect you personally but its impact can be minor or very serious. Some common causes range from distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, etc. To minimize the chance of collision, consider keeping your phone away, stay focused, and relax. It can mean someone’s life if a fatality occurs along with a record that will stick with you for life.

Fortunately, I have a clean record and no history of accidents. On a side note, I aspire to ride and own a motorcycle in the future and have taken the initiative to become more cautious and be as attentive as a rider. To bring it back to driving irresponsibly, there have been times where I have witnessed seeing people become emotionally charged. By all means, DO NOT DRIVE while you are in that state of mind. Calm yourself or stupid avoidable mistakes will happen.

On a lighter note, the key to becoming a safer driver is to really get to know your roads, the surroundings, and your vehicle! It is very important to adjust your seat, along with your mirrors, and a no brainer, put your seatbelt on. Every car that you drive, all features provided are supposed to work specifically in your favor otherwise I would really not like to hear a news coverage on somebody flying through their windshield.

Final tips for whoever reads this, there is this one saying that I like to reiterate multiple times. There are two types of drivers, those who have been in an accident and those whose accident is waiting to happen. It may not be that day but it will in the future. So be sure to wisely think about your options because that decision can be the outcome for everyone to be able to live just another day.
