The small, shiny card within a wallet isn’t just a license. This card is not only to authorize and allow, or just a ticket that enables an individual to obtain a sense of freedom or efficient ways to get from one place to another. This card is not only a driver’s privilege but a symbol of trust. Trust that every turn you take, any light you flash, and every mile you cross is the salvation of life, a life that can instantly disappear from existence. A soul in which belonged to a mother, a brother, a sister, a child: all because of you. You can’t turn back the time when you had the opportunity to change that soul’s fate. All it takes is a little time and patience to care. Care enough to take a chance with Drivers Education. Isn’t it worth it to prevent the ending life, to prevent that one mistake, that one second?

In America, more than 38,000 lives end per year as a result of more than 34,000 car crashes. Every statistic represents one action, one decision that was made, or couldn’t be made, that had determined the fate of life. Now, each of those lives is a part of a statistic. The statistic which could have been prevented by the possession of safe-driving knowledge. The knowledge of what to do, when to do, and what not to do in a driver’s seat. Drivers Education isn’t just a class, but a chance. The chance that is given to a citizen to gain the ability and maturity of harboring the responsibility of determining the fate of someone’s life, to be a statistic, or not be just a statistic. Taking this chance of Driver education can open opportunities to unlock the doors to the next step and milestone of your life. By acquiring the vital skills of decision making and defensive driving, driver’s education ultimately serves to help protect your life but the life of someone else instead of being converted and displayed as just a statistic.

Obtaining a mindset focused on the importance of the road is what helps decrease the risk of destruction and the aftermath of one wrong move resulting in an unfortunate accident. By Applying yourself to driver’s education, it reveals an opportunity to improve as a citizen, serving to prevent crashes by 4.3% and convictions by nearly 40% claimed by one AAA Mid-Atlantic study. It all starts with the mindset of the driver. The driving mindset is what possesses the fundamentals and role of not just the driver themselves, but the driver in the driver’s seat. By initially wanting to further their mind’s knowledge, it allows an individual to choose to be a better driver. One that can evaluate and be aware of their surroundings, being ready to act upon a scenario given the circumstances or risks. Mainly, the driver’s mindset is what’s key to the prevention of an accident. To perfect this vital characteristic means to let the mind have access to the helpful tactics offered through the content of Driver’s Education.

The fate of the driver and the lives on the road is a matter that is vastly important to take seriously. When handed the trust of a single license, drivers should always be encouraged and required to know the facts of what might happen if failure to meet up with safe driving tactics take place. Don’t be the one who is most likely to call poor judgment on the road. Take some initiative. The fear of taking someone’s life from this earth should be one of the main motivations to obtain responsibility behind the wheel. By determining to stay focused and abide by the regulations and norms of a safe, defensive driver, an individual can withhold the power to save a life.
