Safe Driving Saves Drivers

Safe Driving Saves Drivers

Driving is a common method of transportation in these modern times. People usually drive to places in cars or on motorcycles. People who don’t have their own means of transportation most likely have access to use public transport such as public buses in order to travel, if they live in a country which is developed enough for them to have the opportunity to do so. Vehicles zooming on the road are a common sight to most residents of highly developed countries, such as America, worldwide. It is then logical to claim that almost everyone in the world resonates with the desire to experience safe travel when driving. However, life does not always provide everybody’s desire. There is always the possibility of danger striking while driving on the road.

The possibility of danger striking on public roads which are used to drive are sometimes used by uncontrollable variables. These uncontrollable variables include terrorist groups, wild animals, or natural disasters terrorizing public roads. It is therefore logical to focus on the individuals who are driving on the roads, when drafting a remedy for the danger in driving on roads. These individuals must have the proper mindset and skills in order to minimize the chance of them confronting danger even that which is fatal on roads which are used for driving. Are these individuals knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of driving on public roads? Are these individuals even aware of the danger they can face while driving? Are these individuals’ recipients of proper driver’s education? According to statistics, new drivers are eight times more likely to be or almost be involved in a car accident in the first three months of officially having their own driver’s license than they are in the last three months of the time in which they only had a driver’s permit(“Driving Statistics: The Ultimate List of Car Accident Statistics [2020]”, 2019). It is logical to claim that new drivers are most likely not properly trained enough to apply the knowledge they have gathered from their driver’s education.

In order to minimize the number of deaths related to driving is to elongate the time and heighten the intensity of driver’s education. Participants of driver’s education should be required to take a written driver’s test which has strictly timed and afterwards more than one road test. I believe proper driver’s education is imperative because I almost died due to reckless driving. In the summer after I graduated elementary school, my father got into a car accident on the road while he was driving me home. I am pursuing to master every aspect of proper driving so I will become a safe driver and, emphasize the importance of safe driving to others in order to help other people be safe drivers.
