Better Safe than Sorry

The importance of Driver education is essential and beneficial to old and new drivers. This helps prevent drastic fatalities, such as death and any injuries. New drivers should prepare by reading the drivers handbook. They then will have to test for a permit by taking the written or online permit test. After a couple of months, new drivers are then able to take the driving portion of the test. During the test, the driver is expected to do the speed limit required, abide by rules of all traffic signs, and make conscious decisions. All of these steps combined construct the foundation that is of importance for drivers’ education.

Drivers education classes is one of the many ways to reduce the number of car fatalities. It’s exceptionally beneficial to new drivers like teens. They learn hands-on with driving simulators, learn rules of the road, and get an opportunity to go behind the wheel with an instructor. Be sure to be cautious and prepare for anything. Check all mirrors, limit distractions, and have your seatbelt on at all times. Make yourself comfortable. Try rolling down a window for fresh air or jam out to some tunes. If it helps, drive like a driving instructor is in the passenger seat. Common things like being tired can occur. If this happens make sure to pull over and rest or call someone you trust to assist you.

Unfortunately, I had experienced being in a wreck. A drunk motorcyclist rammed into the back of my moms car. It could have been prevented if he wasn’t drinking and driving erratically. A family member who I know has driven irresponsibly is my cousin. She had fallen asleep at the wheel and had a head on collision. What’s Comparable with the two is that it all happens so quickly. Although, I have never been in something like this, it’s not to say that it couldn’t happen to me. I have always been told not to drive intoxicated and get plenty of rest. Be fully aware of your actions and have a clear mindset. As frightening as it is, with one wrong move the driver can put everyone at risk.

Steps that can be taken to be a better driver is to be comfortable. Grab a snack, have a favorite playlist set, and take all precautionary measures before driving. Avoid having road rage. This does exist and if you don’t conduct yourself accordingly while driving, it’ll lead to others lives being at risk. Make sure to not rush. Rushing can lead to accidents, which leads to injuries or death. You never know, maybe a passenger could be a baby in the car. So, I strongly advise, to maintain time management to give yourself enough time to get where you need to be. The lives of others, as well as your own, is in your hands. Driving is all about making good decisions and most importantly being safe.
