You should know how to drive

There is so much to driver’s education that I can’t contain it, but I’ll attempt to. Driver’s education class is just as important as any other class, it includes safety procedures and instructions on how to operate motor vehicles. Simple enough, to the extent that it is difficult for most people to take a simple task seriously. Driver’s education class can assist in learning things like switching lanes in an intersection or driving at speeds that are too quick on the highway. Just as another class can, this class can give you someone to be accountable with in regards to driving. I’m thinking that this is a textbook response and I haven’t gotten into a car accident, but then, if that’s the case, isn’t that a reason to take driver’s education classes?

There are many reasons why people get in to accidents on the road such as texting, being intoxicated, not looking at the road frequently, reaching for other items, phone calls, and even other drivers. What can be done to prevent these and tragedies? For example, connecting phone calls to Bluetooth headsets and directly to car speakers is an efficient technological way to allow people who definitely won’t put their phones down to at least be safer. The same as if a person were driving intoxicated and that person were to have a designated driver, one should also have a buddy or friend ride with them almost all the time. Carpooling is safe and effective, and can not only save lives in regards to falling asleep on the road or being intoxicated, but it can save money and fuel when it comes to gas. In regards to being intoxicated, always traveling in packs/groups is the best remedy to being put into a dangerous situation.

There are many things that a person can do to be a safer driver on the road. An individual can be a more focused driver when the car itself is doing most of the work. Like the example above with the Bluetooth and wirelessly connected technology, as long as the person isn’t interacting with their devices or other things, they can be a great driver. A person can have their passenger seat rider take care of things when on the road, or even have the passenger keep their eyes on the road alongside the driver. Always wearing a seatbelt when on the road is imperative. People who don’t wear seatbelts are more likely to fly and/or likely to generally injure themselves in an accident. How can we keep others safe on the road? We can by keeping all seatbelts on, driving the limit at all times, and by staying off of our phones and devices.

Learning things like these in driver’s education is what keeps most of us safe, and with that said, driver’s education is an important factor in saving lives everywhere.
