The Truth about Drivers Ed

Many people tend to get offended when others recommend driving tips or are reminded of the importance of abiding by the rules of the road. Regardless, it is significant to be enlightened about these laws because as a nation one of our main goals is to reduce the number of deaths resulted from driving. Driver education programs, classes, and information teaches everyone how to safely operate a vehicle in any and every circumstance. Also, driver education programs touch on specifics such as how to operate a standard vehicle, vital parts of vehicles, and all the different signs of the road. Without being taught just some of these pointers before obtaining your license most likely you will be clueless and cause a collision due to the lack of drivers knowledge.

The number one reason for car accidents in the United States is distracted driving. Distracted driving ranges from phone usage of any manner, alcohol consumption, drug usage, and even looking in the mirror to apply to make up. In solution, drivers should put their phone a good distance away from themselves, stay focused on the road at all times, and most importantly do not drive under the influence. A year ago my friend crashed into the back of someone trying to change the song but thankfully she had her seatbelt on so it was not that bad but it was traumatizing. Steps I can take to be a better and safer driver is refreshing my knowledge on road signs and listening to advice others offer to me. Driving is a privilege, not a right, and no one is a pro at driving. I recommend to everyone including myself to on your free time refresh your memory on the rules of the road and remember to always drive safely!
