Tighten Your Lug Nuts

Drivers safety and responsibility is important for both today’s youth and every driver on the road. Making sure your car’s lug nuts which are the nuts that keep your wheel on the car are tightened to spec. I learned it the hard way. It was early in the afternoon when my friends and I decided to go hang out for the day. I was driving on the freeway with a friend in the car and we were talking to each other about stuff in life. Suddenly it felt like we were driving on a rough road. I look around the freeway to see what was wrong with it, I look to the front, to the left, and then to my right that’s when I see my wheel rolling right next me in the middle of the freeway. I quickly pull over to the emergency stopping lanes and see my wheel continuously rolling to the otherside of the freeway. A couple minutes passed by and a tow truck from the city came by to see what happened. I told the tow truck guy that my wheel came off, and he asked if I had a brake job or tire job, and the funny thing is I did the brakes on my car. What was supposed to be a day of thrifting with the boys during July of 2020 was a day of catastrophe. I had to call “AAA” to tow my car back to my house. My friends and I still went on to do our thing. Whenever you or some else work on your car make sure the job is done right, because if not your car may break down or fall apart like my wheel did in the middle of the freeway.
