Driving to Save Lives

I
believe that drivers ed is very important. Everyone should be
aware of how to drive correctly and most importantly, safely.
Sometimes you even have to show the graphic proof of what can happen
when you drive irresponsibly. When people become aware of the
importance of safe driving the numbers of deaths go down. If everyone
drove correctly the number of deaths would decrease and the roads
would be safer to drive on.

There are many steps
that can be taken to reduce deaths related to driving. First, you
need to teach everyone the proper way to be on the roads. Taking
classes and practicing can do that. Another step would be to show the
horrific reality of the deaths. If you “scare” people into
driving correctly that might make them aware of how important it is
to drive safely. This strategy might get through their thick skulls
and make them think about their driving and take it more seriously. I
have been in a car accident. There were no injuries, just damage to
vehicles. Some guy was cutting people off on the expressway and an
accident was bound to happen. He was only concerned for himself and
not realizing he was putting everyone else on the busy road in
jeopardy. My grandmother was in an accident many years ago too. Their
vehicle was struck by a drunk driver and she was left with severe
fibromyalgia and never ending pain. I can try to encourage and set an
example for my friends and family when driving. I can show them how a
text can wait until you reach your destination. A life is more
important than a text or other distractions. I can also explain what
their unhealthy habits can cause. Being entirely focused on driving
can save your life as well as many others.
