Do The Right Thing!

Driving on road can have life threatening consequences if not taking the proper procedures, as well as following the rules of the road. If we are not careful someone can lose their life in the blank of an eye. Texting while driving, not paying attention to the speed limit, driving under the influence, can all play a factor in leading to accidents as well as causing fatalities.

A good drivers ed can help to decrease the number of accidents and fatalities on the road. If individuals are taught and informed of the rules and regulations, then they will know what is allowed and what is not. Being informed can be beneficial for all drivers. Car accidents can be traumatic events especially if the accident ended in bodily injuries. A couple years ago I was involved in a car accident, and the next few weeks after that I was terrified to get in another vehicle. A lot of people like myself are not even taught how to drive, it is salient that we teach ourselves and familiarize our self with the laws.

However, there are action steps that the world can take as well as myself to help everyone stay safe. First, we can read up on the rules and laws behind operating a motor vehicle. Next, if we see someone breaking the rules, we need to inform them of the right things to do. Also, explain to them why it is important that we follow the guidelines. Lastly, I will follow the law and rules of the road. For instance, doing the speed limit, paying attention to the road, not using illegal substances. I am going to start explaining to my peers why using illegal substances and alcohol is dangerous when you are going to be driving. Stating that it messes up your coordination and concentration. Drugs can make it difficult to focus and to stay alert while on the road. A lot of the time drugs and alcohol are in the system of the individuals that were involved in accidents.

Together we can voice our opinion and put a stop to the tragedies. I have lost friends to accidents, also some of my friends has even been hospitalized for accidents. If we see someone using illegal substances, we need to get them help. Every time we get in a vehicle, we can be at risk of injuring someone unintentionally. Cars can be dangerous that is why it is wise to be educated about how to operate your vehicle. It is important that we learn from each other and educate each other. Together we can decrease the number of accidents and save a life!
