Death is an inevitable entity that no one can avoid and it can be caused by a number of things. However, one thing in this world causes over 500,000+ deaths worldwide. Unsafe driving is known to possess an extremely high death rate and it is completely our fault. Unless we are sitting in a Tesla with a self-driving chip, we are the ones driving the car. Drivers ed is extremely important for humanity to drive safely and this opinion will be proven by, explaining steps to increase safety, and explaining a self experience in a car crash.

The most dominant issue in driving is due to technology. Texting and driving, or “distracted driving” is one of the main causes of death in driving. The texts are not going to disappear, or run away.

Secondly, the next main issue requires common sense. Not wearing seatbelts is an easy way of getting a fine, or dying during a crash. This rule has been active since 1990 and there are still people in the world who do not listen. This shows that some people prefer to “be cool” than follow the law. This also presents that if others gave 1-2 seconds to put on a seatbelt, deaths would dramatically be reduced. Always wear a seatbelt. Who knows when your next crash is?

To know the damage of a crash, you have to be in a crash. A few years back, my mom and I were in the car and we were parked at a stoplight. Then, out of nowhere, we were hit in the back by wreckless driver. It was a light crash, but my eye was hurt, and my mother had to be in the chiropractor for years nonstop. This shows that a car crash is serious business. This also reveals that a car crash, light or heavy, will seriously damage you.
