Importance
of Drivers ed

In
this essay I will go over why drivers ed is so important.
As human beings we I believe we have an obligation to keep ourselves
save and the ones around us. Unfortunately, I believe that over the
past decade we have failed that duty. As in the United States of
America in the past year we lost over a million lives due to car
accidents. The importance of drivers ed is knowing all the
rules when it comes to driving. Drivers ed makes you more
aware of your surroundings and become a better driver. Knowing these
basic rules can really reduce the number of deaths we have a year.
This is really important to get down as soon as we’re youths. A
lot of youths don’t have much experience and get in many accidents.
Proper training and education should help these kids out.

The steps needed for this to happen really comes down to the
parents and the individual. Learning classes are offered but I feel
like so many people think it’s a waste of time. But it’s really
not because they teach you the proper way to drive and get you
comfortable. I believe as parents if you notice your child isn’t
picking up the proper techniques to drive safely why put them in
danger. Just simply put them in the class that will benefit them for
the rest of their lives. Another thing is making sure our drivers
start driving when they’re comfortable. Especially in youths, there
is always so many stories about kids who drive that aren’t ready or
really nervous. We need these kids to speak up because not only are
they putting themselves in risk but also all their surroundings.

I
am fortunate to never been in a car accident, but I’ve had family
members drive very irresponsibly. As a responsible driver it was a
really scary experience driving with them. Most of the issues this
family member had driving was being unaware of basic driving rules.
Pretty much when to yield and take left turns. So, I did my best to
verbally educate him with my knowledge. But I also encouraged him by
telling him to download apps that told you all the guidelines you
have to follow to drive properly. The last step I took was by
showing him some of the hefty tickets he would receive for driving
the way he did.
