Why is it Important to drive Safe

Drivers ed is important because it can save millions of lives. Having the knowledge of what happens on the road and what to do in any situation is good to know because you can show millions of people how to drive and how to be safe on the roads. One step I believe that would be good in action to save people lives would be for states to raise their age limit to get a provisional license. Many accidents today are caused by teen drivers who are intoxicated, or they have no acknowledgement of what can happen on the roads. States like Georgia, North Dakota, South Dakota should raise their age requirement. At 15 years old there is little acknowledgement of what can happen on the road. Teens driving at night is another issue because when you cannot the road ahead of you and speeding down the road will not help you any better. I have been in several car accidents where someone hit the back of the car and where the weather was so bad my mom could not see the road. More people need to have the knowledge of these situations and what to do in these situations. Driving in the rain is not the best thing to do. Drivers need to be more aware of their surroundings and not just focusing on themselves. Showing someone a better way of driving is not a bad thing because you show them a better way to drive and how to save more lives. Yes, accidents happen all the time but if we can save more lives than seeing people die in accidents well, I would want to be a part of the change. As a driver I will take more caution on how fast I am going and the drivers around. I have seen deadly car accidents that made me cry and I would not want anyone in a situation like that so taking more caution to speed limits and paying attention to drivers around you.
