Being an educated driver is really important to be safe on the streets. A driver has a lot of responsibility about being behind the wheel, lots of people die everyday because they lack knowledge in how to drive safely. There are simples steps to reduce the number of deaths for example: reducing the speed or maintain it the speed to normal according to rules, drive with both hand on the wheel, seat belts use, stay in your lane, use your signals properly, keep your eyes moving always checking what is happening around you, avoid using alcohol or drugs before driving and avoid distractions. To keep everyone on the road around you safe, it is important to always pay attention while driving. This helps protect yourself, the other drivers, and any pedestrians in the area. When we pay attention we focus on one thing in particular and ignore distractions that are competing for our awareness. For example if you are driving, if you must use your phone for driving, such as for directions, consider purchasing a phone-holder for your vehicle or pairing your phone with your car using Bluetooth or other hands-free or wireless technology, this is very important. A driver needs to constantly watch out for driving conditions and the actions of other drivers. Anything that seriously distracts you from the road ahead puts you and those around you in danger. In pedestrian areas it is important to slow down, be patient with seniors and people with challenges and look for eye contact to maintain pedestrians safe and them to be safe on road.
