Be safe or Be killed

The importance of driver’s education in reducing the number of deaths and breaking the confidence of unsafe drivers cannot be overstated. Young drivers can drive recklessly when they are feeling overconfident. By taking driver’s education, you will be able to practice driving on the road while understanding the rules and safety measures ahead of time. Comparatively, they are learned on the fly. Aside from keeping a close eye on the road directions, you can anticipate what steps need to be taken to reach your destination safely and in a timely manner. This will result in you feeling more confident with driving. Confidence in your driving abilities allows you to comfortably and naturally respond more effectively in difficult driving situations, and as a result become a safer driver. With driver’s ed, you learn everything to gain a clear understanding of the material, with a knowledge that this information will be applied in the real world. You are also taught how to apply them as you physically learn to drive. Seeing that, you are more likely to remember the rules of the road, the signs and their different meanings, and how to follow all the road signs available, and be more comfortable and confident behind the wheel. It has been proven that defensive driving techniques are a major contributor to reducing driving-related deaths as a result of driving education. Every year, thousands of lives are lost on America’s roads. Taking into account, you learn and come to understand the rules and regulations of the road, you understand the responsibility you have as a driver to ensure you follow those guidelines. Besides following the rules and laws of the road, driving etiquette includes sharing the road with other drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Nowadays, road rage is still a reality. Being educated on driving etiquette will help us drive peacefully and safely. You know exactly what certain consequences can come with your actions, are aware of the potential damage that comes with an accident and are both more alert and more cautious while driving. This not only helps to keep you safe, but keeps other drivers around you safe, and everyone will thank you for it. Every year, road safety becomes increasingly important for us children to learn as they begin their journey as drivers. According to the National Safety Council, there were over thirty thousand fatal crashes in 2019 alone, resulting in a total of thirty-two thousand six hundred and seventy-five deaths. You will stay alert, focused, and have obeyed all traffic rules with this technique. In the United States and throughout much of the world, car accidents are a minor cause of serious injuries and deaths. As a matter of fact, in the US alone, at least thirty-eight thousand and eight hundred people were killed in motor vehicle collisions in 2019. Despite the events of 2020 and the response to all the Coronavirus pandemics, preliminary reports indicate that motor vehicle facilities increased in the United States between 2020 and 2019. Clearly, cars and motor vehicles are still a top issue in safety for all people. The majority of these tragic deaths occur due to drivers not paying attention to the road or being unaware of their surroundings. I myself was in a car accident in late May, but thankfully it did not result in any serious injuries or death. Many don’t believe in luck or miracles but that night I did. Driving one hundred and twenty mph and blasting loud music under the influence wasn’t a wise decision. It is a car accident, but things could have been much more serious for my friends and me. When enrolled in a driving school, they are more likely to see devastating videos that show the consequences and destruction caused by driving while in the influence of drugs or alcohol. Some driver’s education courses let law enforcement officials talk about the damage caused by driving under the influence. This way, they will get a better understanding of the dangers of their actions. Seeing those videos better helped my approach on becoming a better and safer driver, as well as helping others feel more comfortable on the road, was simply respecting traffic regulations. I drove slowly, carefully, and confidently to protect myself and those around me. The bottom line is that to be a safe driver, it is imperative to follow the rules of the road and be courteous to other drivers. No distraction is worth a life or injury.
