2022 Drivers Ed Essay
People moving to their teen ages are already driving cars and going places either in the day or in the morning. The caution here is, if they drive good or reckless. Every kid’s dream when driving is being fast on the road or “speeding” or the most dangerous one for immature kids, a fast muscle car. These muscle cars are examples of a Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, etc. These teens can just have turned 15 or 16 and they are already driving is a big red flag the older generation should look out for on the road.
The importance of a driver’s education is for the driver to know all the basics about driving on the road. There shouldn’t be a driver that doesn’t know a thing about driving just the knowledge of where the accelerator and brake is. Driving is a big caution, if one does not know the knowledge of driving there can be bad consequences that can end someone’s life. To reduce these deaths, teens should take either online drivers ed classes or an actual driving class where you learn the basics on driving. Teens getting the drivers ed education are less likely to be in crashes or to revive a traffic ticket when just driving for 1-2 years. This is aimed at teens because there’s a peak on traffic deaths through the ages 16-18. Not only will this benefit the driver but also people around them, driving as well.
To prevent the number of deaths related to driving, always acknowledge that if you are the driver of a carpool make sure all the people in the vehicle has their seatbelts on including you. Not implying that you are a bad driver, and you are 100% going to crash, but if there was a mini accident everyone would be safe. Many accidents have been caused by DWI, driving while intoxicated; this is aimed towards alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances. You should not be driving while intoxicated because you are risking your life, those in the vehicle with you, and the drivers around you. You are at the state where you shouldn’t be behind the wheel. This can cause big consequences that can be stopped by a police officer and taken to jail or death. If you are carpooling and you’re still a teen driving, make sure it isn’t that many passengers and you aren’t driving them around at night. The nighttime is when most accidents occur.
I have never been in an accident as a driver, and that is I have been driving for a good year. I took online drivers ed classes to receive my permit since I was 16 or 17 years old. I enjoyed my course because it also needed you to watch a video called IMPACT that showed you reasons why you need to take driving classes and what not to do on the road. I am cautious on who am I carpooling as a passenger because I wouldn’t want to be in someone’s vehicle if they drove reckless. Luckily, I have never been in an uncomfortable situation due to someone’s driving. I always make sure I have my seatbelt on and have 100% trust on the person taking me to my destination. I was involved in an accident while being a passenger, and it wasn’t our fault but the driver behind our vehicle. This person had hit the back of my father’s truck because she was busy focusing on her phone instead of the road. This accident wasn’t even on the freeway or a fast street, but an incoming red stop light. As a driver, never be distracted by your phone if you need to use your phone park somewhere then do it but not on the road, like I said you are risking your life and others around you.
Lastly, being a driver for a year I have learned many steps when it comes to driving. It was both in a good way and a bad one. Never use your phone while driving, this step has always been known because you are not focused on the road and not aware of your surroundings. Wear your seatbelt, this is like a protection that will help you maintain alive when driving. The feedback I would give a new driver is to be careful and maintain 100% focused on the road, do not let yourself be distracted by someone or something when you are driving. Always wear your seatbelt and limit the passengers inside.
