Driving on the road is the key to life or death because we do not know what could happen in seconds. Do not let any distractions interrupt the driver since something could happen, and that can lead to consequences. It is possible to take action to improve your driving skills, such as make the drive around you safer, and increase overall road safety.

Being alert and aware when driving is one of the most crucial actions to key actions to driving. It is imperative to refrain from distractions while driving, such as using a cell phone, eating, or applying makeup. Distracted driving is one of the primary causes of traffic accidents. To avoid accidents, place your phone in the trunk or back seat. Another recommendation is obeying the signs while driving and making sure to have distance while making a stop. Make sure your car is in good condition for driving to avoid car accidents and deaths. Also, have your paperwork for the vehicle that you are driving on the road to avoid the authorities. While keeping your car in good functioning order, you also reduce the chance of crashes brought on by mechanical breakdown. The most important thing while driving is to put on your seatbelt for safety because anything can happen for not have your seatbelt on. Sometimes people in the United States do not understand not wearing your seatbelt can lead to serious injuries or even death. The first thou should do when entering the car before driving putting on your seatbelt. It does not matter if you are going somewhere in your neighborhood, you should wear it for your safety. Another way to make roads safer, make sure your children are secure in their seats and buckled up. Make sure the ones who are to be in child seats are buckled in them and they are properly buckled into the seatbelts of the vehicle. Sometimes children can suffer trauma from not being secure in the car and might think they are in danger.

I experience a car accident with my parents. An eighteen-wheeler hit our family vehicle while coming back from the grocery store. The eighteen-wheeler driver did not want to take responsibility for his action. Lucky the driver did not hurt my parents or me since or the situation could have been worse. The driver was distracted with their cell phone and not paying attention to the road; therefore, they hit our family vehicle. The driver wants to blame the situation on my father instead of taking responsibility for his skills of driving. If the driver was not paying attention to the road, then why would he put others in danger. Luckily, I and my parents were alright, just a little shocked by the situation of the driver hitting our vehicle and thankful my father was paying attention to the road and others around him unlike the drive.

I would recommend drivers do not drive at night since people like to go out, especially over the weekends. Most of the time people drink on the weekends and have fun, but they do not have an idea what alcohol do to them, especially on the road. If you are drinking, then I would recommend someone else drive who has their five senses to take the wheel. You run the risk of putting everyone else around you in danger as well. As a result, it’s crucial to avoid drinking and using drugs before operating a vehicle and to establish plans for a safe return home. If the authorities catch you drinking or doing drugs that would lead to serious consequences to your personal or professional life. No one will trust you to drive on the roads, especially for driving under the influence which means you have to depend on someone else on the road. If the driver follows these guidelines of not drinking or doing drugs on the road you are making the roads a lot safer for the community.

Furthermore, it is critical for both the person and the society to drive safely and responsibly. Drivers may contribute to the creation of a safer world for everyone on the road by remaining alert and focused, following traffic regulations, maintaining their vehicle, modeling good driving behavior, instructing others, and avoiding alcohol use before driving. It is important to take the required actions to become a better and safer driver and to assist in making others on the road safer. We are human beings all we must do the right thing and make smart decisions before it is too late.
