Be a better driver

Being a good driver who respects and obeys all traffic rules can avoid all kinds of irresponsible and unsafe behavior while driving and for the people involved, whether in the back seat, people on the streets, nearby civilians, and even animals. Being careful and attentive while driving can also mean helping make our roads significantly safer and saving our money on fuel, maintenance, and insurance. It can even help our mental health – by making our time on the road a positive experience.

It’s incredible how we can have a wonderful time driving, and ensure the safety of everybody and ours at the same time because if we do not the consequences of it can be extreme and the damage might be beyond repair. Anyone can take countless illegal actions at the wheel, such as getting drunk or even feeling drowsy while driving, so it is extremally important to know that it is a big responsibility for everybody to maintain the proper speed limit, pay absolute attention on the road, have a car in proper conditions, no consume illegal substances, and the most significant, wearing a seat belt.

Moreover, driving education teaches the individual how to make a proper stop at a certain distance, put the blinkers when making a right or left turn, follow a proper speed limit on the road in specific highway areas, and park properly when parking at a parking lot. In addition, there are several facts in considering driving education important for the individual how to drive safely on the road and prevent future deadly car accidents.

We can take many preventative rules to make driving safe and reduce our risk of car accidents. Avoiding distracted driving. while making the occasional phone call or munching on takeout while driving may not seem like the biggest deal, however, each day in the US, 9 people are killed in fatal crashes and over 1000 people are injured in accidents that involve at least one driver who is distracted. Do not Follow Too Close. Following too closely can easily cause us to rear-end the vehicle in front of us. If we are not sure what an appropriate distance is to keep between us and the vehicle in front of us, we might follow the three-second rule. According to this rule, we should always be three seconds behind the car in front of us. If we are driving down the highway, we should make it four or five seconds. So, when driving, pick an object next to the road, such as a tree or a sign, and when the car in front of us reaches that object, start counting. If we pass that object before we get to three, we need to back off a bit.

Park with care. Most drivers are so focused on finding a great spot that they don’t pay close enough attention to what’s going on around them. In addition to watching out for a spot, we also need to be on the lookout for doors swinging open, shopping carts, kids darting around, other pedestrians, and animals, so we might worry less about finding the best spot and be more careful about keeping our eyes around us.

Being a good and responsible driver can also mean preventing the death of innocent people or someone we cherish and love. When we over sped when we are driving we can cause illegal faults and might be ended up crashing with another car, or even our own deaths. In the United States, it is illegal to overpass a stop sign when a school bus is stopping, however many drivers do not respect this significant rule that involves the safety of many children that might get injured or killed by drivers that do not want to wait until the bus starts running, and speeding up.

Animal life can also become another victim of a neglected driver, In the United States alone, one million vertebrate animals are killed or injured to die on the road daily by these unresponsible people.

We need to educate others as much as we educated ourselves every day when we drive, suggest taking driving lessons to our friends and people that have a driver’s license but are still scared of driving, and suggest getting plenty of sleep before a long drive, stay alert, pay attention to traffic signs, don’t ignore the yellow light, never text, and drive, be patient, and turn the headlights on. As we can see, there is plenty of advice that we can give to others and others to us, so we can keep good behavior at the wheel, and save the lives of other human beings.

Throughout my life, I have been in three car accidents, and fortunately enough I was not highly injured but had some bruises. All of these accidents were when I was on a bus, and the first time was when I was with my mom. The bus hit a car in front of us, causing people to be thrown forward and injured and bruised all over. My mom fell and sprained her wrist a bit, and I hit my head on the seat in front of me. and banging my teeth on the seat. The second time, we were lucky to sit on the bus seats before the bus crashed into a minivan, but no one was hurt this time. The third time was not long ago when I was just getting on the bus when an overstepped crashed the bus getting a woman with a broken arm and two men thrown out of the bus, and had a bruised leg that lasted six months and a level head concussion.

It is extremely important to know and let people know the importance of being a good driver, and the countless lives that we can save if we know how to handle the wheel because it can be us or perhaps others who are driving, so we can ensure the safety of all of us.
