The safer highway

To me, a driver’s education is one of the most essential knowledge a person has to have in this world during this time and era. Humans have created a better and easier society relying on automobiles for transportation, this means everyone who would like to have a smoother transportation service needs the correct amount of education in driving to keep safe. Just in the last year of 2022, there were 42,795 driving deaths. For most of the population, especially teenagers driving under the influence are nonsafe. Ensuring that every driver has the mandatory amount of Drivers education on the road can reduce these increasing numbers of deaths. I believe every driver should learn about the laws of the road and every safe tip and rule that is taught, including DWI laws and defensive driving for instance. Most parents are concerned about the overwhelming percentage of driving accidents that are caused by teenagers. Every teenager wishing to convert to driving on their own should be responsible and proceed to complete the required level of Drivers education to keep themselves safe and keep their families and other drivers on the road from being doubtful and distrusting about teenagers on the road.

There are many laws and steps to be taken to reduce this number. Traffic laws differ from state to state, it is encouraged to keep safe by being aware of your surroundings, and having the skills to react in a quick situation can definitely come to be an advantage on the road. Avoiding distractions is one of the most significant laws to follow, limiting electronics and speaking on the phone, eating while on the road. Also making sure the automobile being driven meets the eligible requirements to be on the road is a major safety concern all drivers should have. Releasing any tension, stress, or anger before getting in a driving seat is a responsible step to be taken and will be an effective way for drivers to reduce road rage accidents and this unfortunate number. Avoiding driving under the influence is significant and keeping the driver in the correct conscious state to drive can be another step. Being unhealthy, not getting enough rest, and driving under the influence only reduce the drivers’ focus on the road and can cause the worst accidents. Drivers ensuring they are taking the drivers’ education courses and following these steps can increase the number of responsible, smart, and safe drivers and decrease the concerning amount of tragic deaths and car accidents around the world.

So far during my lifetime, I have experienced two car accidents. The earliest one was when I was in elementary school in the car with my mother and my sister. The other driver was drinking and had sped through a red light, his car hit our car and spun it around multiple times. All three of us needed medical attention, fortunately, all three of us survived and did not require any major medical attention endangering our lives. The second accident I’ve been in was a little over a year ago, I had first started driving and I myself was an irresponsible driver at the time. I was involved in speeding and passing a stop sign, a truck recked into my little car and pushed it into a tree. I needed major medical attention and my life was in danger for a moment, I needed two surgeries and 19 stitches on my head. I was scalped and it was by a huge odd that I survived. This is a prime example of irresponsible driving and being an unsafe driver. After this incident, I have watched many citizens in drivers’ seats drive irresponsibly just as I was and I always advocate in the situation. I speak for those who have had their lives at risk due to driving dangerously and I am encouraged and determined to be a safe driver on the road and influence other divers to be safe.

Steps that I can take to be a better and more safe driver on the road is definitely to calm myself before getting in the driver’s seat. Getting enraged on the road is one of the most frequent causes of accidents. Limiting distractions and avoiding cell phones while driving is a common mistake most inexperienced and uneducated drivers make that causes accidents. In addition, making sure my mental and physical health is in driving condition is significant. My vision causes me to be incapable of driving without my glasses so ensuring my glasses are on while driving is a key factor for me to get where I need to go, there’s also making sure I get a reasonable amount of sleep to avoid me from being able to focus on my driving in an aware and safe manner.
