Driver Safety and the Importance of Education

I am heading to college and am looking to study Software Engineering in hopes of becoming one. I have to learn how to drive in order to get to where I want to be. Driver Education is a form of learning that needs to be taken seriously, as ignoring the safety and rules of the road have proven to cause problems in contrast to preventing them from occurring.

Driver Education is important because teenagers, who are the most likely to be in a car accident, and are the youngest to drive, need to learn how to avoid being in a car crash, and what they need to do if they get in one. Drivers who do not participate in a Driver’s Ed course are more likely to be involved in an injury, or fatal accident. Driver Education is also important in reducing deaths, as with more lives saved, there will not be money that has to be spent on car damages, hospital bills, or funeral arrangements. Drivers Education can not only save money by helping drivers avoid negative outcomes, it can also lower insurance premiums as companies will offer discounts to teenage drivers who complete Driver’s Ed. Teenage Drivers will get used to what they can and cannot do on the road, and form habits that will help them drive to where they want to go, as safely as possible. Overall, Driver Education is important because it helps to prepare the younger generation by equipping them with the skills and safety knowledge needed in order to live a much easier and fulfilling life.

In order to reduce the number of deaths related to driving, we must rely on a “safe system” that puts human lives and safety as the only concern while driving on the road. Part of the reason that people get into car crashes is because they are not entirely focused on their surroundings. There needs to be a complete elimination of distractions such as phones, alcohol/beverages, or any device that takes a driver’s attention away from the road. Drivers should also manage speeds to a safer level, and drive at the speed that best suits the circumstances presented to them, whether it be the speed other drivers are moving at, or if there is construction that requires a major decrease in speed. Overall, these are just a few ways to help reduce the amount of deaths related to driving, as current laws and safety procedures also need to be enforced in every way possible to ensure that the health and safety of every driver and passenger is of the utmost highest quality.

I have never been involved in a car accident in any way, partially because I do not have a license yet, so I wouldn’t get in a car accident myself. However, there were times in which me and my family were almost in a car accident. While I am grateful that I haven’t gotten into an accident, I understand that I am not immune from the situation, as it has been proven that if there is no care given when being on the road, car accidents could happen to anyone. In addition to this, I have seen my father speeding sometimes, and even though he’s speeding he makes sure that he is not too close to any vehicle. What I can do in order to be a safer driver is to take all safety precautions into account, paying attention to my surroundings, and focusing entirely on the road. I can also talk to others and help them correct any bad habits they developed when driving, and let them know that they have to focus more on what they are doing, so that they do not end up in a car accident. In conclusion, I have the knowledge about being a safer driver, as well as the opportunity to learn from others what I should, or should not do while driving on the road, and I can be able guide others if they are making any mistakes while driving, so that everyone will be safe and sound in the end.

To conclude, Driver Education is essential in order to live a smoother life, and to not have it become more complicated by dealing with all the troubles that come in the aftermath of a car accident. It saves lives, time, money, and resources, as well as providing valuable lessons that future drivers will use for the rest of their lives, and all that in turn, will lead to a better society for all.
