Safety of our future drivers

Drivers ED is important for reducing the number of deaths due to driving because it teaches future drivers the safe and proper way to drive, making our roads safer. It also helps teach people how to drive in different kinds of weather which can be especially important if the roads are slick and not cleared off properly. For new drivers, driving in inclement weather can be dangerous if they do not know what they are doing and how to drive safely. Along with this, it helps people know the rules of the road and to be cautious of other drivers. It helps teach others how to prevent getting into a car accident and how to drive in places where traffic is heavy. By educating drivers about the dangers of the road and how to drive safely, we can stop the constant increase in deaths due to unsafe driving. Making sure we worry about not only ourselves on the road, but the other drivers around us can help us be more of our surroundings, keeping us more alert and awake on the road. For many people, driving can be a scary experience if not done safely and with the proper knowledge. We can prevent the increase of car accidents and deaths due to these by educating not only ourselves but others on the proper safety and precautions to take when driving. I have had an experience with a friend getting into a car crash with a semi on her way home from homecoming. She was on the highway going to drop her friend back off at home when she went to a green light and a semi came from the turning lane and hit the left side of her car. The semi was not supposed to since it wasn’t their turn yet. Her car completely flipped to the side and slid a few feet because of the impact. My friend was very hurt and had a concussion on top of that. Educating others about the basic rules of the road and teaching those who drive semis or larger vehicles the importance of safe driving in order to prevent incidents like this from occurring. Vehicles such as semis have very large blind spots which can lead to a large number of incidents if not taught properly. We can prevent others from getting hurt and dying by taking the time to take a driver’s education class so we can teach others how to be safe on the roads and make the roads a safe place for everybody. While driving, I will make sure to drive safely while also looking out for others who may not be driving properly, to prevent others around me from getting hurt because of one person’s wrongdoing. I strive to educate myself on the rules of the road and to make sure other people know the importance of a driver’s education. Following the rules on the road can save your life and possibly the life of others since you are being safe. Even if you are in a situation where you are going to be late for work or school, making sure you practice safe driving can prevent you from getting into a car accident even if you are only speeding slightly, you are still putting the lives of others at risk instead of taking the time and driving properly. It is better to be a little late by driving properly and safely than dead because of unsafe driving. Making sure the roads are safe for everyone can save many lives that are lost due to driving accidents each year. Things such as speeding, drunk or impaired driving, distracted driving, or running lights are all things that have caused car accidents and can be prevented if we prioritize the safety of the road. Approximately 19,937 car crashes happen each day which is 831 accidents per hour which could be prevented if you and others practice safe driving. I will make sure I do not use my phone while driving and I will take all the necessary precautions to make sure I am keeping myself and others safe while driving. 1,235 car crashes a year are due to unsafe driving in bad weather. I plan to educate others on the importance of safe driving even in dangerous weather since there is a higher chance for car crashes to happen. In conclusion, I will drive safely, make sure others drive safely, and help teach and show others the importance of driver education classes and safe driving.
