Importance of Drivers Ed
Drivers
education is very important for many reasons. In drivers ed you learn
the basic things you need to learn to be a safe and successful
driver. You learn what different signs on the roads mean, how far you
should stay from other cars, what to do in the case of an accident,
what not to do in the case of an accident, Where to keep your hands
on the wheel, how to turn, how to park in all different ways, and
overall how to be a safe driver. All of that is valuable information
that I use almost daily. Not only do we learn the rules of the road
but in drivers ed we get hands on learning by having driving times
every week with your instructors. That driving time is very useful
and teaches a lot more of what you learn in the drivers ed
classroom.
All
of this information is used to keep everyone safe on the roads, and
teach them what to do and what not to do while driving. When people
follow the rules they learned in drivers ed it makes them a safer
driver on the roads. This decreases the chances of getting into
accidents and potentially causing deaths while driving. Steps that
can be taken while driving to decrease fatalities on the roads are
always being cautious of what is going on around you, always be
prepared for what the cars around you might do, always be prepared
for distracted drivers, follow the signs and speed limits where you
are driving, and take all safety precautions.
I
have been in an accident before and it was due to distracted driving.
From that experience I have learned that I always need to be paying
attention and not distracted while driving. I have also witnessed
other family and friends distracted while driving. When that
happens I usually tell them to pay attention because in that case
they are not only risking their own life they are also risking
everyone else in the cars life and the cars around them.
If
everyone cared enough to follow the rules that they learned in
drivers ed I believe that there would be less deaths due to car
accidents and overall the roads would be much safer. If all drivers
had no distractions while driving the roads would also be much safer.
If we all had our phones off, were not eating, had the music at a low
volume ,and did not slow down to look at accidents everyone on the
road would be a lot safer. Overall if drivers followed the rules of
the road that they learned during drivers ed they would be a lot more
safe and wouldn’t cause fatalities due to car accidents while driving
and that is why drivers ed is so important to have before getting
your license.
