Drivers Ed
Driving in Los
Angeles
Los Angeles has one
of the highest insurance rates in the country, the population of this
city is over three million people and a lot of them do not know how
to drive.
To answer your first
question:
What is the
importance of drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths
result of driving? I believe that everyone should at least take a
course in drivers ed. consciously. I also believe that social media
is to blame because a lot of influencers are always recording cool
videos on their phones while driving. It might look really cool and
it is something that might get you a lot of attention. But most
important is to think of others as a living being so you are careful
as you are driving, no one wants to take a life.
Our second question
is:
What steps can be
taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving? I think one
way would be to always drive with a buddy that is also paying
attention and looking at the road. When I drive with friends, they
are the ones that are on my phone. They look for directions, text as
well as read the text I’m getting. I find this really helpful.
Question number
three:
Have you ever had an
experience of being in car accident? Or have seen your friends or
family members driving irresponsibly? I have been part of two
accidents that I have caused. The first accident I was ever in I was
not on my phone or anything. I was coming back home from getting some
ice cream. I was paying attention to myself drive but I was not
paying attention to the flow of traffic. I hit this SUV, I rear ended
the lady, I did not know what to do I started to shake because I just
got in my first crash. I couldn’t see any damage on the car in
front of me. My car looked so bad and I felt really bad. I caused so
much pain to everyone. I did not mean to do it, but I guess accidents
happen. It was the last thing I wanted. My friend was hurt, I was
hurt and the people in front of me were hurt. To top it all off I
caused traffic and all the drivers on the side of me were just
yelling at me. Good thing that the cops got there and they put me to
the other side of the freeway. My dad got there, so was my mom. I
felt so bad cause I cause them all so much pain. Somehow my dad took
care of the whole thing but I had to pay all the damages. All the
savings I had were gone and I still had to pay my parents more money.
My poor car kept breaking down too. Due to all of this I had to be
smarter about saving and about paying attention to the flow of
traffic.
