  • Have
you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have seen
your friends or family members driving irresponsibly?

It’s a Friday
afternoon and you’ve just been picked up from school. You’re only
in about second, or even third grade. You’ve had good behavior all
week, so you are being rewarded with a trip to McDonald’s. It’s a
trip you typically take, but you’re still excited to get that happy
meal. Upon waiting to turn onto the road… it happens. A distracted
driver clips the front of your parent’s car. The driver is halfway
down the road before they realize to even stop. At this point, your
parent vehicle had been spun sideways onto the street, blocking
traffic, able to be hit again at any moment. Luckily there are no
major injuries, although it could’ve been worse. Distracted drivers
are a liability to not only themselves, but to other drivers. The
next time you decide to pick up your phone while driving, think of
how that text could affect anyone, even a second grader.
