education is very important in reducing the number of deaths caused
by driving because if people are educated they are less likely to
make mistakes while they are driving. When people are educated they
are at a lower risk because they have been taught the rules and shown
the consequences if they do not adhere to the safety guidelines. To
reduce the number of deaths related to driving people can take extra
safety courses and be more of a defensive driver. Many drivers can be
aggressive, and as a result there are a lot of accidents. If people
make an effort to drive more defensively there would be a decrease in
the amount of accidents and death. Extra safety courses could also
help with decreasing the amount of deaths because then people are
more informed about different regulations that are in place that they
might not know about. I have seen some of my friends get into
accidents and they have learned from those accidents. They are much
more cautious and they are better drivers. I have also gotten into a
car accident, but it wasn’t because I was distracted or being
really foolish. From my car accident I have become a better driver. I
always double check before turning and I am very defensive because I
don’t want to be the reason someone dies. I was very fortunate that
no one was majorly hurt or killed when I was in an accident, and I
continue to promote safety and defensive driving with my friends. If
I notice that they are being foolish I point it out to them in a
friendly manner. Overall I have seen the destruction that car
accidents can cause, and I want to make a change, so I continue to
work at making my driving skills better and I encourage my friends to
ditch the distractions and drive safely.
