Homelessness
in New York is a big issue and a problem for the state of New York.
Over 63,000 people that are homeless that include men, women, and
even children sleeping on the streets and sidewalk, and in parks. New
York is home to 8.5 million people and more, nearly 1 in every New
Yorkers10, 000 are currently homeless. May 2019, there are 61,729
homeless people including 14,674 homeless families with 21,372
homeless children, sleeping under a bridge, sidewalk, or municipal
shelters system.

Families
that are homeless make -up nearly three quarters of the homeless
shelter population, New York’s rate of homeless is 76,767 and that
is causing New York the problem keeps rising that are turned away
from shelters and forced to sleep on the streets. Since the Great
Depression in the 1930s.as of June 2019, there are over 60,849
homeless people, including 14,589 every night thousands of
unsheltered homeless people are sleeping on the streets, in subway
system, at train stations, airports, and in the park when it’s cold
and snowing.

A
study has been found and reported that the majority of homeless new
Yorkers that live on the streets mental illness or serve health
problems such as depression, and anxiety. There are 11,352 homeless
that are black, 19,551 adults in families, 22,712 children. There are
760 homeless people that are veterans in the city, down from 3,689
six years ago.

Dozens
of people form an encampment in Central Park, about 95% of more than
78,000 people who qualify as homeless in New York actually have
temporary shelter, and others are not lucky at all and are still
sleeping and cold on the streets. 11% of adult’s homeless
population are veterans, roughly 45 %of all homeless veterans are
African Americans or Hispanic, and homeless veterans are younger on
average than the total veteran population.

Homelessness
in California, the biggest and most expensive state in the United
States an important topic. It is really good to live there but it
depends on if you can afford it some people cannot. 33 per 10, 00
residents are homeless. This is the highest rate in the country after
14% from 2016 and 2017. California is ranked the second state besides
New York being the number 1 of homelessness California is ranked
second with the most homeless in the United States.

California
has the highest homeless percentage in the world and it’s going to
go higher and rise up in the future if we don’t fix it and have a
solution and resolution. In California 31 % of homeless are sheltered
and 69 % are unsheltered. Nationwide 65 % of homeless are sheltered
and 35 % are unsheltered, 34 in every 10,000 people are experiencing
homelessness 68.20 % are unsheltered (91,642) and 31% were sheltered
(42,636) Estimates of homeless is that it includes 112,522
individuals 21,522 people in families and children.

There
are 15,458 unaccompanied homeless youth, 11,472 veterans, 35,798
chronically homeless individuals, The real reason for homelessness
in California is 31% job loss or people getting laid off, 20% drugs
or alcohol use and abuse , 15% divorce or separation, 13% an argument
with a family member who asked them to leave, 7% domestic violence,
10% eviction without telling the people that you are kicking them out
for no reason , 7% mental health , 7% physical health or medical
condition , 12% incarceration ,and 1% housing restriction due to
probation or parole.

34%
of homeless receive employment assistance, 31% receiving rental
assistance, 28% receiving drugs or alcohol counseling, 19% receiving
mental health services.

Homelessness
in Texas is an issue also in the county called Tarrant County 2,015
people have experienced homelessness, an increase of 91 people or 5%.
Homeless populations continue to shrink as a percentage and remains
below 1 % of total Tarrant County population. Northeast Tarrant 13
percent, down from 66 %.

County
rate is 2,015 people experiencing homelessness, that’s an increase
of people from 2017. Fort Worth has 17,878 homeless up from 1,594,
Arlington has 207 homeless down from 252, Parker County 8 down from
12. This is according to a January census.

In
San Antonio as we continue in Texas heading down to south Texas
homeless in 2019, 2,892 were counted as homeless including 523
unsheltered . The previous year, the count showed more than 3,000
people were homeless in Bexar County, 500 of whom were children,
while the overall number of homeless decreased.

Number
of homeless families increased 18 %to 274 families up from 232 in
2018. Number of people at the court yard declined from last year 681
to 648. The number of sheltered and unsheltered homeless people
increased last year, growing from 2,743 to 3,066. The number of
homeless families went up to 18 % over the prior year, Because of
rising rent and a need for more funding for programs that prevent
families from being displaced.

Homeless
in San Antonio Live under bridges, in alleys ways and alleys, parks,

nonconforming individuals.

in Florida, Florida one-day homeless estimates fell 7% from 35,900 in
2015 to 33,466 in 2015, unsheltered homeless estimates fell 10 %from
17,017 to 15,361 while sheltered estimate’s fell 4 %from 18,883 to
18,105.

One-day
estimates of veteran homelessness fell 35 % from 3,926 in 2015 to
2,902 in 2016. Total homeless population in the state of Florida
31,030, total family household’s experiencing homelessness 2,757.
Veterans experiencing homelessness 2,543, there are still 5,300
homeless veterans in Florida about 17% of the national population of
almost 31,000.

Roughly

Homelessness
in Chicago crime is up and so is murder and homeless, over 80,000
people are considered homeless in Chicago, around 80 percent of them
live double up in the homes of other due to hardship. The remainder
are in shelters or sleep outside, it says.

According
to the 2018 count, 5,540 people in the city are homeless, down from
roughly 5,560 the year before and just under 5,890 in 2016. Living in
