Educated drivers are more responsible on the Road

Education
occupies a key place in the exercise of any profession. In a driving
school, this is even more important for the driver’s own safety,
that of his passengers, as well as that of other drivers and
passers-by. Driving is a big responsibility because every mistake,
every second of carelessness or distraction can be vital. So, it is
necessary to not only master the rules and driving techniques to have
better reflexes on the road, but also and above all in order to
display responsible behavior at the height of the privilege which is
granted to them. I am saying all of this because I had a bad
experience about accident.
Six month ago, I had
a horrible experience that changed my behavior when I am driving. It
was 10 p.m. I had purchased my car in Connecticut, and I went to pick
it up. On my way home, I was fatigued, and my body was visibly
afflicted. I was drowsy and started making several mistakes on the
road. I was thinking about parking the car to take some rest or
stopping in a 7-Eleven to buy an energy drink to revive my body. But
when I checked my phone, I saw I was only 16 minutes from home, and I
said to myself, “I can do it.” The decision seemed correct but
was stupid because it almost cost me my life.
Only about two
minutes later, I fell asleep on the parkway before exit 117. When I
suddenly woke up due to the screech of the tires of the car, I had
already lost control. Immediately, I turned the steering wheel on the
opposite direction to straighten the car, and it flipped. After
several rebounds, the car stopped on its side. I broke the front
window and got out.
A few minutes later,
police and the emergency medical service arrived; they checked on me.
Fortunately, nothing was wrong with me. The EMT said in 20 years he
had never seen someone walk away from such a serious accident. When I
went to the hospital, the physician who checked on me said She could
not believe I was the person on the accident report.
Reflecting on that
made me understand that driving should always be done with great
caution. To ensure your safety and the passengers on the road, a
driver must be in total possession of his physical and mental means.
From now on, I will never make the same decision again.
