Drivers Ed is
essential for all drivers, new and old, because it gives divers an
understanding on how to keep others safe. The importance of driver
education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is
that it provides knowledge and techniques to drive properly and
reduce risk of reckless driving. Steps to reduce the number of deaths
related to driving are keeping your eyes on the road, maintaining
driving at the speed limit, putting your seatbelt on, keeping two
hands on the steering wheel, checking your blindsides, and avoiding
distractions. I personally have experienced a car accident in which
the other driver was at fault. The other driver tried to run a red
light as I had a green light. This taught me to be extra careful when
driving because other drivers may not be practicing proper driving
skills. Some steps that I can take to be a better and safer driver,
as well as help others become safer on the road are to remain
committed in paying attention to details on the road. Providing your
undivided attention can keep you and others safe. You must also take
driving seriously. Driving is a privilege and a freedom that allows
you to do almost anything you want.
