Early Birds

It’s
important for drivers to learn all their signs, check on mirrors,
signal turns and keep an EYE on the road. However, most drivers get
into an accident because of road rage, speeding or they are too
distracted by what they are thinking about. The reason for that is
because drivers don’t plan their time ahead. They see the time and
they’re about to be late wherever they need to be. They need to
give themselves a head start, so that they have enough time to drive
and not stress about getting late.

Drivers
should start planning early so that they have time to drive to go
where they need to be. They should start using technology to their
advantage, because technology shows you how the weather is gonna be
tomorrow and if there’s any traffic ahead. This can help how much
time they can give themselves to start driving. If the weather for
tomorrow is raining, you give yourself a head start, because you need
to drive slower and drive with more caution. Or you check for
traffic hours and how long traffic takes so that you can see when you
should start driving. When you see the time about to be late, you get
in the car and start driving incautiously. This can lead to speeding,
not respecting the stop, and distractions. Any wrong turn can lead to
someone getting hurt.

I
have been in the car with bad drivers. For example, once in a while
my friend would give me and my other friends a ride to school. My
friends would come late to pick me up, which makes us go late to
class. My friend would start speeding and not follow the rules of the
roads, like not making a full stop on the stop sign, forgetting to
put the signals, and not focusing on the other cars. Also my other
friends would start arguing with my friend who is driving, which
makes my friend more distracted. In this situation, if my friend came
early to pick me up and my other friend, my friend would drive with
more caution, and not think about getting late to class.

What
I do to become a safer driver is by setting an alarm for myself to
prepare my stuff so that I can finish early. When I finish early, I
can take my time driving safely. Also the day before, I alway check
the weather to see if it is gonna be sunny, rainy or snowy so that I
can know when I should start heading out. Also, I check for traffic
hours on the freeway I’m going to drive on. When someone is giving me
a ride, I tell them at what time I want them to pick me up instead of
them deciding to come late. If the person who picks me up comes late
and starts driving irresponsibly, I remind them that it’s better late
than sorry and focus more on the road.
