Drivers
safety is one of the most important things anywhere, but most people
do not see the true danger of driving. What is more important then
safe driving, is drivers ed. Education on driving is more
important because, people do not know the danger unless told and
shown the consequences.

The
importance of drivers ed is the highest on the scale of
importance. Reducing the number of deaths due to driving is a concern
because, the number of fatalities is in the tens of thousands.
Teenagers and adults all are careless when it comes to driving;
adults can grow old and think they have enough of driving experience
to bend the laws of driving. Teenagers can be young, naïve, enough
to think the little amount of driving is enough to do reckless
driving that has bad consequences. Car accidents range not just in
teenagers, but in adults too. Laws are laws and just because of
driving experience, there will never be enough experience to bend the
laws of driving.

Speaking
from experience; my parent’s years of driving, but even they will
go over the speed limit, or talk on the phone. Yes, I am a teenager
and can be more at risk of being in a car accident due to “reckless
driving,” but I have been through driving classes and have seen
what consequences can happen to people. I have had family be in car
accidents due to texts, even if they have years of driving
experience. Responsibility can be claimed by people, but their
actions are what really matter.

Steps
that can be made to prevent any accidents are easily prevented.
Driving accident videos, crime shows with car accidents and
consequences can easily show the danger. Steps that can be taken to
prevent any accidents are easily overseen; turning off phone before
driving, going the speed limit, following all traffic rules and
paying attention can be all it takes to have a safer trip. Most
people know the steps that can be taken to prevent any accidents,
they just would rather do it their way then the right way.

The
importance of driving is always overlooked in today’s society. The
society is full of pride. Driving experience is always under looked,
due to people being unable to swallow their pride. Pride leads to
people bending the laws of driving to do what they think is right,
but mind right is not the same as right in the eyes of the public.
Driving while on the phone after 10 years of driving is no difference
then 1 year of driving for a teenager. Teenagers and kids watch their
elders and do what they grow up to. Seeing a parent constantly drive
while on the phone or texting, can make their kids think it is the
correct way to drive when they are able to. That is why drivers
education is important because, of the influence elders have on the
newer generations.
