SAFER DRIVING LEADS TO LONGER LIVING

Safer
driving equals to longer living

Driving!
Every teenager’s dream not only is it a right of passage but a new
beginning for our future drivers. To most, driving is very important
to them, studying, practicing and memorizing just to pass that
drivers test. Drivers with experience may have the idea that they
don’t need to freshen up on their driving knowledge but it
shouldn’t matter if you’ve been driving for 30+ years because it
only takes 1 second for you to lose your life to incompetence. So I
urge people of all ages be smart about driving because it can save
lives.

The
importance of drivers ed is not only to provide the driver
with skills and knowledge of safer driving habits but also provide
pedestrians with more knowledge and security so that they can also be
safe on the road.

Some
of the steps that can be taken can involve the GPS system; A app
feature can be installed on all smartphones so when the GPS is giving
directions it can also give the drivers some safer driving tips and
reminders so that way, the driver can be constantly reminded of how
important it is to be safe when driving.

Another
good suggestion would be drivers of all ages, should be required to
take a driving exam every 6 years just to refresh their knowledge
about driving. This can help reduce deaths when driving because
everyone on the road will know what precautions they must take to
keep themselves and others safe. Another great precaution can be car
installed breathalyzers. Driving under the influence is a big issue
in today’s times, every time a driver wants to start his/her car
they would have to blow into the breathalyzer in their car before
they use, they’re key. That way when there’s no one there to stop
such behavior what better way than to modify their car.

Unfortunately,
I have witnessed a car accident, it was the most scariest moment in
my life because I was walking my little brother to school and their
was a brutal accident on the road that we almost got in the middle
of. I have experienced my family members driving irresponsibly
texting, talking, and recording. Steps that I can take are making
sure that when I’m in vehicle with someone I have my seatbelt on
and I’m sitting in my seat with arms and legs inside the car. I
will also speak up if I see any misuse of driving around the steering
wheel.

In
conclusion driving can be fun when you first start out but its never
too early to start being safe and responsibly as well. They are many
reasons why people want to drive its important to many people but as
a community we need to come up with reason why its important to live
and be safe.
