Being a Safe Driver
Being
a Safe Driver
Life
becomes more exciting when a person is first learning how to take
action behind the wheel. A person feels as if they have a sense of
freedom and to be independent for as long as they want. But due to
those factors, these give someone more of a reason to be a safe
driver.
For
starters, receiving a drivers ed is extremely crucial as
you have to drive for everyone and yourself simultaneously. By
receiving this kind of education, a person could reduce the number of
death rates enormously just by knowing what is right and what is
wrong. According to the Association for Safe International Road
Travel, nearly 1.35 million people die in road crashes each year with
an average death rate of 3,700 a day.
Some
steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths relating to
driving would be making sure everyone knows the rules of the road,
making sure people know how to actually drive, having zero tolerance
for drinking and drugs while behind the wheel, and creating different
ways of road safety.
I
personally have never been in a car accident nor had a family member
drive irresponsibly. I have seen some of my friends drive
irresponsibly and been in car accidents and cannot stress enough how
they need to stop driving so recklessly and appreciate the one life
you have.
In
conclusion, the steps I would take in order to have a safer road to
drive on is to drive for everyone around me, follow the rules of the
road, and help a person in need if they ever are in a predicament
that could be prevented into more drastic measures.
