Dangers of Driving

As
a child you think, “I can’t wait to drive. I will be able to do
what ever I want.” I have recently received my Juniors License and
driving has been nothing like I though it would be. When I first got
behind the wheel, I realized how much power was at my fingertips. One
wrong move and I could severely injure or kill the passengers and
those around me. As my parents taught me everything I needed to do to
ensure that I am driving safely, my head started spinning because
there is so much to think about. As I started thinking about
everything that could go wrong, I remembered the car accident my
family had been in several years ago. We were driving home for church
one Sunday when a car ran though a stop sign and hit the side of our
vehicle. Even though everyone was okay we were still worried because
my mom was eight months pregnant. Thankfully my mom and my little
sister were okay, but the thought of what could have happened is
scary. After thinking about this and several other incidences that
have happened to other people, I promised myself that I am never
going to text and drive, never going to run a stop sign, and always
obey the speed limit. I promised myself this because to me these are
some of the main causes of car accidents.
