The One About Accidents and Why Learning is Important

If
you are an inexperienced driver, you’re not thinking of much else
other than where you’re turning and to make sure to put our signal on
and how to get into the other lane. Many inexperienced drivers are
not thinking about the person behind them and how it affects them if
they accidentally brake very late or how the person next to them
might be affected if they decide to let someone go ahead of them and
the car goes into the other lane. Or they do not think of the car
apart rule on the freeway. This can lead to many accidents on the
road and skyrocketing insurance payments for the drivers and possibly
leave them without a car to drive.

Driver’s
education taught me to pay closer attention to all of these things,
even as an inexperienced and new driver, which got me out of getting
run over or hurting others while on the road a few times I’m sure.
It also helps new drivers to be less stressed on the road, because
they have the knowledge and rules of the road that others who did not
take drivers ed usually do not have. The stress that new drivers feel
can lead to them focusing too much on one thing when they drive,
leading to the neglecting of one thing to the point where it could
injure someone, but they are nervous because they do not feel like
they’re ready.

Reducing
the number of deaths on the highway is a main goal of drivers ed and
I believe that it helps with that. A way you may be able to decrease
the number of deaths is by having all states make drivers ed
mandatory for people to be eligible to drive and they must pass it.
Another way to prevent deaths from driving is better enforcement of
the laws that prevent cell phone distraction while driving, because
they are in effect, however they are not enforced as heavily as they
could be. I know this one would help because I’ve seen my mom use
the phone constantly while she was driving. I could also be a safer
driver by not using my phone as well, luckily I have not ever been in
a car accident so I haven’t experienced any consequences for that
behavior. I also would be a better driver if I had better spatial
awareness than I have right now, but that just comes with more
experience of driving.
