Is
it worth your life?

In
the summer of 2017 things were going great the sun was warm and the
night were an endless party time for students and newly graduates
kids from the small town of Vina Alabama. The summer seemed perfect
until one night two local boys died in a tragic car accident. They
were traveling at a high speed down a road that had no phone signal.
The town mourned for a very long time they had been very known one
even announced at the school football games. Some think that driver
safety is unimportant but it can cost you your life and affect your
family and friends.

Driver
education is something that needs to be talked about more in the
community it really can save a life if someone just knows the truth
and understands how to handle the vehicle it could help fix the
problems we have with car accidents. In order to reduce the chances
of wrecking we should have designated places in cars for phones so we
can not access them from our driver side of the car, car radios
should have a lower setting and shouldn’t be able to go up as far
as they do. I also believe that everyone should have a designated
person with them in case they need someone to call for help or if any
other problems arise.

As a teenager I
will admit I have went over the limit and checked my phone ,but when
your phone is next to you it is all you can think about. I believe in
order for me to be a better driver I could put my phone away
somewhere that I won’t grab it and try to check it. I should also
leave earlier in order to not have to drive as fast to get where I am
going on time. We all need to take precautions in order to save not
only our lives but others.

One
wrong choice, one glance at your phone, one time speeding, one time
changing the radio station and taking your eyes off the road. These
are just a few things that could cause an accident and could
potentially put your life in danger. The statistics show that people
die in car accidents by the hour chances are that while you are
reading this someone has been in a wreck because either they or the
other driver were distracted. Cars can be a very valuable asset in
everyday life they take us from where we are to where we need to go,
however it only takes one wrong move to turn an asset into a weapon
of mass destruction. What is distracted driving worth? Is it worth
your life? If something happens to me what will happen to my family?
Think of these things before you get behind the will and somehow get
distracted. Take care of yourself you deserve a full life don’t let
your car change that.
