Being Careful

Driving is fun sometimes. You can travel anywhere you want to go in a
matter of minutes. You can go city to city or even drive across
different states. Have road trips with friends and family. But you
may never know what can happen on the road. You can be distracted for
two seconds and then you can be in a car accident. Car accidents are
pretty scary you could die or severely injured from one car accident.
You could even be in a car accident like me. On Wednesday, July
31st,2019. I was driving down to the store to get paint and tissue
paper to start off my Senior year of high school. I thought it was a
normal day and i was going to be doing some fun stuff with my
friends. A car ran a red light and totaled my car. This opened my
eyes and made me realize I could have died from a person who wasn’t
paying attention to the road. When I was taken to the hospital, I saw
other people who also was in a car accident because someone was
driving irresponsibly. This opened my eyes and wonder how many people
have been in car accidents but actual have been killed. 1,514 people
have died in 2018 people have died every 4 days. We as drivers need
to be more careful with the way we drive. Things that can help reduce
this can be simple as driving slower than usual and slow down before
you meet traffic, or watch out for people who run red lights, paying
12 seconds ahead of time to focus on the road and what’s ahead of
you, and even watching other drivers and the way they drive. Watching
other drivers can help see what’s ahead of you or see if they are
driving suspiciously and you can be prepared for what happens. These
simple things can help with reducing accidents. Some people drive and
don’t pay attention to the simple things like a stop sign or a stop
light. This can help a lot of people with deaths. Simple training on
how people can make sure they pay attention to their surroundings to
prevent any accidents. The steps can start with putting your phone
down and paying attention to the road. It’s a proven fact when you
try to multitask on the road you are not really multitasking your
brain focus on your phone then the road. So when you text and drive
your brain is really focused on texting not driving. Another thing we
can do is try to control our temper. When we get mad or upset someone
is driving to slow can make us upset and go around the driver and
drive faster or even be to upset driving past the driver and can hit
the car in front of us. Simple things like wearing a seat belt is
also very important.
