they turn 16, high school students are dying to get a car. Little do
they know they could easily die in that car. Cars are weapons and
teens do not realize exactly how dangerous they really are. Driver’s
Education is a very important component of building a safe driver.
They teach you how to stay safe in all road conditions and how to
operate the vehicle safely. They also inform students about the
importance of having reliable insurance and what to do if you get
pulled over. The ultimate goal of Drivers ed is to keep
teens safe behind the wheel. I think making Drivers ed
mandatory in all states would be one way to make the roads safer.
Some states teens can get their license at age 15. This age is way
too young for kids to be driving. Teens also need more consequences
when caught driving recklessly. Instead of being let off the hook,
they should be held accountable for their actions. They are not only
putting themselves in danger but also those around them. I am blessed
to have never been in a car accident, but I know it can happen
anytime I get behind the wheel. I am not invincible to bad things
happening to me while I am driving. In order to continue driving
safely, I must always remember basic driving rules, such as checking
mirrors and staying below the speed limit. I will also never text and
drive or drink and drive. These are both incredibly dangerous
activities to perform behind the wheel. When you do these activities,
you are making a death wish on yourself and others. I can spread the
word to my friends and family about the dangers of distracted
driving. By getting the message out there will allow more people to
become aware about how dangerous operating a vehicle truly is.
